In September 2014, marking the birth of the United States' National Anthem, the Friends of Fort McHenry and the National Park Service chose el-j productions to be their partner. el-j worked with Fort McHenry’s Ranger-Historians to craft a script that entertained, educated, and informed an audience of over 6000 area school children as they participated in creating the world’s largest Living Star-Spangled Banner flag. The all day event was live streamed and is still in use in classrooms across the country as an educational resource.
Dawn’s Early Light
As part of the commemoration of the writing of the Star-Spangled Banner 200 years ago, el-j productions crafted a morning celebration. General Colin Powell (retired) gave the keynote speech to the assembled crowd and at the exact moment that Francis Scott Key immortalized 200 years prior, Governor Martin O’Malley led the crowd in an emotionally charged singing of The Star-Spangled Banner.
Liberty Island 125th Anniversary
After producing a successful event on Liberty Island for The Coca-Cola Company, el-j was asked by the National Park Service to play a role in the 125th anniversary of the Statue of Liberty. el-j is honored to have been a part of the celebration of our nation’s rich history.
